VETERANS HISTORY PROJECT
How to Participate in this Historic Project
Preserving the Past for Our Future
On June 6, 2007, the Central Florida WW2 Museum partnered with the
Library of Congress to collect and share veteran and civilian interviews
pertaining to World War II.

The Mission of the Veterans History Project is to collect and archive the
personal recollections of wartime veterans and civilians to honor their
service and share their stories with current and future generations.
How can I be part of this important project?
As a veteran or civilian who experienced the War, you can volunteer
to be interviewed or donate historical documents and artifacts.
What kinds of items are included in the Veterans History
Project Collections?
Donated collections take the form of first-hand oral histories, memoirs,
photographs, letters, diaries, service documents, and artifacts consisting
of helmets, uniforms, fieldgear, equipment, vehicles, and other historical
artifacts from the era.
How can I share the memory of a deceased veteran?
On behalf of a deceased veteran, you may submit historical documents
like the veteran's collection of photographs, letters, diaries, and memoirs
or historical artifacts like the veteran's uniforms, weapons, and equipment
with a tribute recognizing his or her contribution to the War.
